DESCRIPTION
Villa Argentaia is more than just a noble holiday residence. During the extensive renovation of the abandoned monastery, ancient building techniques dating back as late as to the Romans were combined with modern construction methods in order to preserve the old structure and character of the property and to optimize water and energy consumption by conserving resources. The owner's adiction to the region is reflected in numerous contemporary works of art by well-known artists from Tuscany.
The living room, which is dominated by a four-metre-high fireplace, is an oasis of luxury and comfort. Another highlight is the ultra-modern kitchen. This space is designed for culinary enthusiasts and is perfect for preparing and savoring delicious Italian and Tuscan dishes made with ingredients from the surrounding orchards, vegetable gardens, vineyards and olive groves.
The wellness area impresses with its vaulted ceilings, fine marble floors and open brick walls and is reminiscent of an ancient Roman bathing parlour. The pool with its extraordinary dimensions of 30 x 5 metres is also impressive.
Each suite at Villa Argentaia has been designed and furnished with attention to detail. With innovative features such as natural air circulation systems and modern amenities such as underfloor heating, these suites offer unrivaled relaxation. Expansive king-size beds upholstered in organic linen and opulent bathrooms with premium toiletries ensure you experience the ultimate in comfort. Each suite also has its own balcony, a terrace with breathtaking views of the distant sea.
The extensive estate is home to many animals: free-roaming horses, donkeys, poultry and even a range of wildlife such as deer, foxes and falcons. A walk through the grounds promises a connection with nature and an insight into the vibrant life that thrives within the boundaries of Argentaia.
The estate's own wine cellar contains fine red wines from the Maremma region and organic olive oil from the estate's own production.
Medieval villages such as Magliano, Talamone, Pereta, Capalbio and Pitigliano stand like timeless sentinels in the area surrounding the estate. These villages with their ancient castles and stone towers are perched on the hills of the Maremma and cast enchanting silhouettes in the Tuscan sky.
The permanent staff of four persons including a chef to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner take care of your well being to ensure a most comfortable stay at Villa Argentaia in the charming setting of Maremma.
