DESCRIPTION

This luxury villa is set within the natural conservation area of Sintra, on the outskirts of the village of Magoito. This small village offers visitors a glimpse of rural Portugal. The estate was formerly used for wine production in the early 1900s. The manor house is set on approximately 11,000 sqm of land and is secluded and private. Sintra town is a fifteen-minute drive away, while Lisbon can be reached within half an hour by car.Magoito's beautiful sandy beach is a ten-minute walk from the villa.The estate was completely renovated in 2005.There are two cottages available, which are opened according to the number of guests booked, and a chapel attached to the main house. The new owner has lovingly restored all buildings using the best materials, maintaining the feel and charm of an old farmhouse while providing modern comforts and luxury. The original wine press has been transformed into an entertainment room with a pool table and flatscreen TV, while the original hand-painted tiles throughout the villa have been kept and beautifully restored.The water well has been glassed over and is a feature in one of the bathrooms in the main house. The decor is simple and neutral, with sofas and artworks on a combination of broad beamed wooden and tiled flooring. Exposed bricks and high beamed ceilings create a relaxing atmosphere reminiscent of years gone by.The tennis court and swimming pool have shaded seating areas where you can dine al fresco or simply relax in the landscaped gardens.
