Naankuse Lodge

Located just 30 minutes from Hosea Kutako International Airport, the award-winning Naankuse Lodge offers stunning chalets and villas set within a 3,200-acre nature reserve. Naankuse Lodge is a non-profit ecotourism establishment where all profits go in full to support various charitable projects of the Naankuse Foundation, such as the Naankuse Game Reserve, the Carnivore Research Project for Namibia's endangered wildlife, the Clever Cubs School, and projects to provide health care and improve educational opportunities for disadvantaged San Bushmen.

Nestled in the breathtaking African steppe and set against the backdrop of imposing mountains and hills, Naankuse Lodge is perfectly located to start or end your Namibia trip. It offers a malaria-free environment where lion, leopard and cheetah, among others, can be spotted. With a little luck you can see kudus, oryx, kuantilopes, mongooses, meerkats and many more in their natural environment.

Naankuse Lodge was built entirely from ecological materials. It embodies the ethnic and rustic architecture of Africa while providing ultimate comfort. Glass, wood, natural stone, fabrics along with extravagant linen and bedding have been harmoniously combined. A variety of activities are offered at the lodge, which can be booked if you are interested: Feeding of lions, cheetahs, leopards, wild dogs etc., bush walks, horse riding, an evening with a San storyteller around the campfire, a behind the scenes look at the game reserve etc.
